CNN references Twitter streams on a daily basis, YouTube is second most used Search engine with over 100,000,000 videos and the 55 and older female crowd are in a Facebook frenzy . October 16, 2009 Homeowners Are Rejecting FrillsThe long U.S. housing downturn has led homeowners to scale back both the size of houses and the amenities found within them, but consumers are still willing to invest in energy efficiency, according to a quarterly survey by an architects’ trade group.The survey by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) found budget-conscious Americans are less interested in having hobby or game rooms, media rooms, home workshops, or suites for in-laws.

Atlanta foreclosed homes for sale dropped in number in October compared to the previous month, but the number is much higher compared to October last year, based on data from a real estate research firm based in Georgia. Throughout the Atlanta metro area, nearly 9,600 foreclosure notices were posted, a decrease of 22 percent compared to notices filed in September. The properties described in the notices will be included in public auctions scheduled in November.

The grandson of Leslie Hooker has purchased the business in an $82 million deal, which comprised of $15 million in dividends and $67 million for the company including its franchise business and a mortgage broking business from Suncorp Metway.
